Information
The EU's offshore renewables strategy, adopted in November 2020, identifies offshore wind, wave and tidal energy as one of the most promising sectors for supporting the EU's decarbonisation objectives. Most capacities are currently deployed in the North Sea. In the short to medium term, however, offshore renewables will be deployed in all EU sea basins, offering major investment and job opportunities for coastal regions and beyond.
