Information

A strong society needs responsible citizens who know and exercise their democratic rights and duties. We need to strengthen democratic participation and mobility of all EU citizens and the protection of citizens' rights.

Education about Europe is key for responsible citizens. It is not just a task for school education, it is part of lifelong learning. Openness and curiosity about other people are developed in early childhood and are continued later at school. Learning another language, getting to know foreign customs and respecting other attitudes are milestones on the way to common European values, such as respect for human dignity, freedom, democracy, equality, the rule of law and respect for human rights. We want to present models of lifelong learning about Europe from early childhood to old age.
