Information

The International Association of Public Transport (UITP) and the European Committee of the Regions invite you to an interactive workshop on the importance of public transport for Europe's green recovery. The COVID-19 crisis has shown how essential public transport is for ensuring access to basic services and for their continuity. However, citizens’ behaviour in terms of mobility has changed as a result of the crisis, due to the perception of feeling at risk in public spaces, including on public transport. It is now time to focus on strategies to regain trust in public transport to keep our regions and cities alive and moving. Our workshop will aim at showcasing the benefits of public transport for all of society and its contribution to the Green Deal's objectives and will look at strategies to build back better mobility.
