Information

The main challenges for regional green growth transition

  • What structural changes are needed?

  • How should policy instruments evolve?

  • How does public/private collaboration trigger green growth?

  • How can production ecosystems' resilience be enhanced by financial and policy instruments?

  • How can revamping waste management support a sustainable economy/society?

  • What are the options for decarbonising a regional economy?

  • How can the green transition trigger an endogenous and sustainable growth trajectory?

Added value and innovation

This event will focus on fostering dialogue on the policy response needed for the green transition, in the context of a re-starting economy that needs to address and enhance significant resilience issues. This should be achieved through joint discussion among regional authorities on the different ways of handling both the green transition and pandemic-related resilience through economic relaunch and recovery, in order to establish a sustainable growth trajectory at the regional level.

The transformation and adaptation of regional financial and policy instruments should be a key topic of the discussions. Participants will also be expected to share regional insights on combining the green transition with regional growth strategies and policy and financial instruments.
