Workshop description:
DG REGIO's role should not be limited to Chapter 22 "Cohesion policy and coordination of structural instruments" or the "Resources, agriculture and cohesion" cluster in the context of the recent Commission proposal for strengthening the whole accession process. Indeed, in line with the post-2020 proposal for cohesion policy, policy clusters like "Competitiveness and inclusive growth" and "Green agenda and sustainable connectivity" are at least equally as important for DG REGIO's post- 2020 proposed policy choices.
Workshop agenda:
- Opening and short introduction by REGIO
- General overview on the progress in Regional Policy
- Forthcoming challenges and possible ways forward
- From IPA to Cohesion Policy: Financing priorities
- Creating ecosystems for cohesion: Partnerships, capacities, transparency
- Management modalities and simplification
- Q&A
- Conclusions
