Information

The 19th European Week of Regions and Cities will be deployed in a digital-only format from 11 to 14 October under the political motto “Together for Recovery”, with sessions dedicated to:

  • Cohesion: from emergency to resilience
  • Green transition: for a sustainable and green recovery
  • Digital transition for people
  • Citizens' engagement for an inclusive, participative and fair recovery.

During this session, Commissioner Ferreira, European Commissioner for regional policy and reforms, will debate with young journalists (Youth4Regions Alumni) and the online audience (via the questions received on Slido.com with the code #DialogueOfTheWeek). She will spotlight within their reports, examples of recovery across European regions and discuss how cohesion policy and the EU adjusted to the pandemic and preparing for a twin transition that leaves no one behind, how this is perceived in EU regions and how, together, we can bring about the change we want for Europe and the world.

Commissioner Ferreira will also open to EURegionsWeek participants an online survey to collect their feedback on each of the 4 themes of this event.

Commissioner Ferreira and Mr Tzitzikostas will read the replies and react to these messages which are the Voice of the Week during the closing session on 14 October.
