This session will shed light on key topics that the war in Ukraine has put on the table. Through the analyses developed in the framework of the ESPON IRiE project, we will talk about the main implications that this shock is having on people and trade across Europe. The negative impact on all sectors and products exposed will be addressed (energy, petroleum, gas and oil products; metals; cereals), as well as the refugee crisis. Policy implications relating to this territorial evidence will also be debated.
