Digital Transition

Information

Regions and local entities are playing an active role in the implementation of the digital transition in health, enabling solutions to be found and ensuring that services are delivered to citizens. In this interactive session, we will draw on the results of local experiences/projects and elicit opinions and exchange knowledge aimed at inspiring each other and creating a starting point for future cooperation and innovative regional planning and strategies, fostering digital solutions in health and policies.

The digital transition should not be a top-down exercise, but instead an involving and inclusive endeavour including the full participation of local and regional authorities. The objective of our laboratory is to provide an interactive space for discussion, involving the EU Commission and EU regions and members of the EU Partnership on Transforming Health and Care Systems - THCS. They will debate and share ideas/experiences regarding the main impacts, challenges, needs and critical issues faced by regional actors in the implementation of digital innovation linked to the social and health care field, in order to find solutions and provide mutual knowledge on the topic. The event is designed to highlight the role of regions and their healthcare ecosystems in ensuring that the healthcare workforce is up to speed with the digital transition and that persons/carers are able to benefit from digital tools and innovations in a multilayer perspective. Participants will be representatives of the local/regional authorities, health professionals, European networks and European institutions active on the topic.
