Space matters - Territorial Impact Assessment in the legislative process - 13PL22297

Territorial Impact Assessment (TIA) has become an important element in the ex ante Impact Assessment (IA) process of any legislative proposal in the EU. A pre-check of the territorial effects of a legislative proposal is therefore needed early in the policy decision making process. Such a tool has been developed and is hosted by ESPON (the TIA necessity check). The lab will showcase the application of the TIA Necessity Check.
